The Mozart of Madras, A.R. Rahman has won 4 National Awards for Best Music Director for the films - Roja ( 1992 ), Minsara Kanavu ( 1997 ), Lagaan ( 2002 ) and Kannathil Muthamittaal ( 2003 ).
